An Independent Educational and Public Health Advocate & Legal Representative for SEND, Parliamentary Adviser, Expert Witness, Speaker, PhD Student, LDE Academic and Neuro-plasticity Researcher for her Foundation called SETD 5.

Janet is an independent Public Health Expert, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Educational Legal Representative and Researcher. In 2015 and 2016 respectively, Janet secured a case against the UK in the ECHR with Recommendations following a First Tier Chamber Single Sitting Judge hearing in Strasbourg using the European Convention on Human Rights [1953], furthermore, in (2018) Janet set a High Court Precedent for (Educational Environment and a Child's Rightful Expressed View on their educational pathway) and a SENDist Tribunal Precedent (2020) for an immediate decision for the child's best interests when naming an educational institution.
Janet is an (FRSPH) Fellow of The Royal Society of Public Health, & (FBII) Fellow of The British Institute of InKeeping (Food Science and Pubic Health), She is (ACIEH) Associate of the Charted Institute of Environmental Health. In addition, she is a (MEHBEA) Member of The European Human Behaviour and Evolution Association, a member (MBESA) of The Academic British Education Studies Association and the (MBHRC) Bar Human Rights Committee. Janet is moreover a member of UALL (Universities Association for Lifelong Learning. ' UALL provides leadership in representing part-time/flexible formal and informal learning, public engagement, widening participation, and other similar activities to policy makers, funders and policy-making bodies. UALL works to influence policy in part-time and lifelong engagement in higher education by:

Janet’s research is shared with the NHS Networks and Research Gate and she sits on the Coursera Moderators Panel for Utrecht University's Global Legal Human Rights Courses and advises the (APPG) All-Party Parliamentary Group for SEND. Janet is a Rare Disease Researcher and Advocate, she is also a SEND Mother. Janet was invited to stand as an MP for the 2019 Elections, for two London Constituencies, however, she decided to focus on her PhD rather than her political career for the foreseeable future.

Janet uses cutting edge alternative legal routes to secure legislative outcomes and is known for her use of the UK's Rule of Law, in that she supports both parties to seek change through the effective collaboration for and in the best interests of the Child, Young Person and or Adult who may struggle to have their voice heard.
She was accepted onto her PhD Doctoral Pathway in 2019 and is preparing her thesis, called   ©Project IMPACTS enabling her to write new legislation for the Department for Education for the British Government, furthermore, she supports many other organisations across the UK, in particular, Learning Disability England, Not Fine in School, Operation Diversity to name but a few.
Janet represents SEND Parents and their Children/Young People in court seeking education and health outcomes and mediates for those who have faced disability discrimination in any environment. Latterly she was instructed to challenge the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group for CHC Health Care, litigating to secure End of Life support using Human Rights, due to The Care Act 2014, being superseded by the temporary Coronavirus Act 2020. In 2018, Janet was awarded 'Excellence in Education'  from Inclusive Companies (Inclusive Companies is the premier cross-industry network harnessing best practices & innovation to drive inclusion for all.)
Janet is an active campaigner for Human Rights and dedicates her time to those who have disabilities; Janet's son is one of two people in the world with a rare combined disease, furthermore, Janet spends her time with her wife to be and her blended family and children, including 3 crazy cats, one hyperactive puppy and two black goldfish, when Janet is not holding the Government to account with her forthright disposition, she can be found reading, eating chocolate, going to the theatre, travelling or partaking in extreme sports.
